My favorite easy homemade BBQ sauce

I have lots and lots of recipes I want to share with you (or link to), but the one at the top of my list for today is this easy homemade BBQ sauce. True, it is not the most complex-flavored BBQ sauce in the world. And it is very sweet, not very spicy or vingegar-y at all. BUT, easy. That's the key word here! And yummy! I got this recipe from Taste of Home ages ago. It goes great with pork, beef, or chicken. Tonight I'm actually trying it on venison. I'm making shredded BBQ venison sandwiches!

Tangy Barbecue Sauce

1 cup of ketchup
2/3 cup of brown sugar, packed
2 teaspoons of mustard
1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg

Mix it all together! That's it. It doesn't get much easier than this!

I love to make a double recipe of this sauce, throw it in the crockpot with a couple pounds or so of meat, then shred it all up together when the meat is done. It makes a wonderful filling for sandwiches, enchiladas, etc. Mmmmm. Enjoy!

That does sound good! My husband is hooked on particular brand of sauce but I just might have to pull a switch on him sometime just for fun :-) We love to do a bbq pork loin in the crock pot. Easy & good!
