What a great reminder. I have to say, after just giving birth a couple months ago I have been thinking a lot about what it must have been like for Mary, it certainly wasn't the idyllic setting that people have made it out to be. I can't imagine giving birth in a barn, having strangers come shortly after, and being as gracious as Mary. The phrase "and Mary kept all these sayings and pondered them in her heart" really struck me this year. It seems she was calm, gracious and quiet with all that happened.
