Christmas Countdown--December 2

Today I didn't get too much done on Christmas preparations. Josiah has been especially fussy and not napping very well (I think he's teething), so I ended up spending more time than usual holding or nursing him. I did get a garland hung up and also hung my first Christmas card from friends on another garland on our door. No pictures this time, as I've been too lazy to take any today! :)

On the docket for tomorrow: Making a few batches of Christmas cookies! We're having a small ladies' get-together at my mom's house on Thursday, so I need to bake for that, and make plenty extra for the freezer. Also, I'm hoping to get our Christmas card photos ordered, and maybe work on one of my handmade gifts. We'll see how it goes!

So, what did you all get done today? Hopefully more than me! :)

**UPDATE: I ended up staying up late tonight and ordered my photos from Snapfish already. Feels good to have that done . . . and I found a $10/$25 purchase coupon code too, so I was extra happy about that!! Normally we get our yearly family photo done at Target or Walmart. This year, we attempted doing our own to save money. Well, we did save money, but I think maybe next year we will go back to studio pictures. We found it very challenging to get a good self-taken picture where everyone was actually looking toward the camera, let alone smiling! Oh well, they're not too bad. :) So . . . the pictures are ordered, now I need to make time to write the annual letter to go with them!

I was able to finish the new hat we're giving our daughter. Then we brought all the Christmas decorations that were in storage out, set out another decorative item, rearranged the living room furniture and set the tree up. No decorations on the tree yet, but they will come soon.

I managed to bake a batch of cookies called Cranberry Coconut Bars. I also got all of the fall items off the hutch, dusted it thoroughly and began decorating it, and got the Thanksgiving items off the table and set some Christmasy looking things there. I decorated the kitchen island for Christmas as I did last year and it looks really cute. A real spirit-lifter everytime I look at it. I also imported a Christmas CD to the computer via iTunes, so I'm enjoying Christmas music as I type!

Yesterday I finished Christmas shopping for the kids. Then today I managed to wrap most of the gifts. I hauled the decorations out and will probably do some decorating tomorrow. I need to get pics done. I haven't decided to do them ourselves or go to Tarjay. The kids have been enjoying Christmas movies and we have been listening to lots of music, too. All in all, a very festive week so far!
