In my book pile . . .

Rachel commented on my last post that she was currently reading three books, which reminded me that I’d been meaning to write a post about my current reading list, also. I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who has several books going at the same time, although sometimes it really gets ridiculous how I start so many and then forget to finish them. :) I don’t usually have that trouble with fiction books--I always want to find out the end. (And in fact I sometimes read the end of a book first, just to make sure I’m going to like it--how silly is that!?) But since Josiah was born, I’ve started into all of these books and am still working my way through all of them. And I keep adding new ones! Arrghh! When will I ever learn? :) Oh well, it makes for some variety. So here’s what I’m reading right now:

**Don’t Make Me Count to Three, by Ginger Plowman
**Passionate Housewives Desperate for God, by Jennie Chancey and Stacy McDonald (thanks to Zan for passing this one on to me!)
**The Power of a Praying Wife, by Stormie Omartian (thanks to Elisha for the recommendation!)
**The Vaccine Book, by Dr. Bob Sears
**The Mission of Motherhood, by Sally Clarkson

. . . and I think that’s all. :) But you should see my Amazon wishlist! It’s full of MORE books. So now, my goal is to actually finish the books that I’m currently reading, before I embark on any new ones!

I also wanted to say thanks to all who have commented and said you're praying for me, and shared your own struggles. It really means a lot, and helps me remember that I am not the only one who feels so overwhelmed at times! I'm sorry I haven't been able to respond to all the recent comments individually. I really like to do that, but haven't had the time lately. Hopefully I'll get myself more organized soon and into a bit more predictable routine, and then I'll be able to do that again. :)

Hey, thanks for adding a few more good books to my ever growing list:). Now, if I can just finish the ones that I already have!

Wow, you gals are of the ambitious sort. I'm happy if I read my Bible each day and flip through a few magazines. :) I did finally read a few chapters in the well-trained mind (after checking it out two separate times from the library) but that's been my biggest reading accomplishment since becoming a mom of 2. When do you find time to read?

I have several books that I'm partially thru also and I almost bought the "Mission of Motherhood" book you mentioned but I figured I should finish the books I have first. :)
