Goals for 2008

Last night I made out a short list of my goals for this year. I'll probably think of more later, but this gives me a good start:

Spiritual:
  • Daily quiet time (something I consistently struggle with!)
  • Try to read through the Bible in a year, using a plan from this website
  • Growing closer to God through prayer
Physical:
  • Try to exercise at least 3 times a week
  • Work on improving Sam's tooth care habits :)
  • Use mostly cloth diapers on Julia; start potty training her
Home:
  • Improve in the areas of home organization and cleaning routines
  • Keep my sink shiny! :)
  • Use more whole grains in cooking
  • Use my crockpot more
Financial:
  • Keep more organized financial records
  • Work our way through Dave Ramsey's "Financial Peace University" (we got this last summer, but haven't gone through more than a few lessons)
  • Create (and stick to) a workable budget
Personal:
  • Have another baby at home
  • Learn to crochet
  • Complete several unfinished sewing and knitting projects
  • Read some new books
  • Add to my "five fat files" (see this post from a couple years ago)
And I guess working on this list should keep me plenty busy! :)

I was also excited to see some of the new things that Crystal has planned for this year on her blogs Biblical Womanhood and Money Saving Mom--because some of them are the very things I hope to work on, so it will be really nice to have some more inspiration and motivation!

So . . . what are some of your goals for the coming year? I'd love for you to share!!

How Cute! I just clicked on your "five fat files" post and the pictures of Sam are adorable - Julia looks just like him.
Glad your back to posting I missed them. They are a fun break to the day. - Joey
When are you going to post a pregnancy picture on your Eating for Two?
