Anti-Procrastination Challenge--Thursday

Today I cleaned and organized my laundry room, which was a BIG mess! Well, the floor was clean, as you read in a previous post. :) But the rest of the room needed some help. My laundry room is very small--just room enough for the washer, dryer, and utility sink, and then beyond that it turns into Jim's office. I plan to tackle the office part tomorrow!

Because of our sloped ceilings, we don't have any room for storage shelves/cupboards in this room, so all of my laundry supplies and most of my cleaners are stored on top of the washer and dryer. Today I weeded out the empty bottles, and other miscellany that didn't belong, and washed down the appliances. I also washed out the sink. The washer and dryer tops still look cluttered, but until we figure out a better storage solution, that's how they'll have to stay. At least they are clean and straightened up now! This is something I've been procrastinating on for quite some time, so it feels really GOOD to have it finished!! :)

I'm rewarding myself with a few minutes of blogging and a glass of water, then it's off to the kitchen to cook supper and load the dishwasher.

To see how others are doing with the challenge, head on over to Mrs. Wilt's blog!

ETA: As of 8 pm, I had finished a few more things that I had been putting off.

1. Called a friend to RSVP to a baby shower invitation. Invited same friend and her husband over to dinner next week (something we've been meaning to do for over a year!)

2. Ordered a new Mac Lynch CD from Biblical Womanhood--had to take advantage of the great sale, which ends tonight!

Yay! It feels good to be able to check these things off my list!

You go girl! I was reading through some of Mrs. Wilt's comments and was interested in seeing your laundry room. Doesn't it feel just wonderful to tackle those dreaded jobs! :0) It is never as bad as we think it will be.

Great job, Carrie!

I'm tackling some of my craft storage today, and I think I'd better work on my closet and some drawers very soon too. Just have to fit it in with everything else that has to be done today!

Your laundry room looks wonderful -- can't wait to see what you do with the office!
