Our family Christmas

Here are some pictures from our little Christmas celebration here at home. We opened our gifts on Dec. 11, a few days before we left on our trip. It seemed really early, but it worked out to be the best time for us to do it, especially since we weren't totally sure if we would be home for Christmas day or not. Jim read us the Christmas story from Luke 2 before we started unwrapping.

Sam opens his Thomas bubble bath and a fire truck battery-operated toothbrush. (So far he is still too scared of the spinning brush to let us use it on his teeth.)
Jim gave me this nice jacket from Duluth Trading Co. It's a nice weight for spring or fall (or the mild winter we've had so far!) He also gave me a matching couch throw and bedspread in a lodge theme. He really spoiled me this year!
Sam also got a Thomas playground ball . . .
and a Thomas smelting yard, complete with "Oliver," cargo car and cargo!
It was a very fun Christmas for our little family!
