Christmas Countdown Challenge--Day 19

Today was another good day. Thanks to a mega-nap for both kids this afternoon, I was able to put a lot of time into my last homemade gift, and I have it nearly finished!! Just have to get a few more supplies tomorrow so I can add the finishing touches.

I'm also hoping to work on either wrapping gifts or addressing cards tomorrow. We'll see how it goes!

I thought you all might enjoy seeing these two pictures. The first is me when I was about 3 (I'm guessing--Mom, help me out here if you know!), looking at our angel chimes. The second is of Sam in a similar pose, enjoying our own set of chimes that my parents gave us a few years ago. It's so much fun to carry on traditions with a new generation! :)

Oh, that is toooo cute of Sam! It's amazing how far photography has come in 25 years, isn't it? Yes, I think you were about 3 in this picture.

As for the challenge, I got a set of 4 Christmas coasters completed for a gift and made a batch of fudge. Much more than I expected out of today!

angel chimes sound interesting...but I've never heard of them - tell me more!

Just a quick correction on my previous comment -- you are actually more like Sam's age there -- the photo was taken in 1979 and you would not have turned 3 until April 1980.

Jenny--Angel chimes are a Swedish thing--you assemble them, then light the candles underneath, and the heat from the candles makes the angels spin. The little thingys hanging from the angels hit the little bells, making them chime as they twirl around. We're not Swedish, but we've always enjoyed them. :) You can find them at www.angelchimes.com, and a number of other places online.

Mom--thanks for figuring out my age in the pic; amazing that I had that much hair at 2 1/2+ years!!
