What are your favorite things?

On a blog I look at occasionally, Emma has made a list of things she enjoys, and encouraged others to do the same. I haven't sat down and written out my own list yet, but I thought it was a fun idea. Kind of like counting your blessings . . . just finding the special delight and fun in everyday things. I would love to hear what others' favorite things are, too. Just off the top of my head, here are a few of mine:

*A mug of hot chocolate with mini marshmallows

*The smell of a freshly washed baby (namely, my own!)

*Anything with a "woodsy" theme--especially anything with moose on it :)

*Cozy fleece blankets

*Flannel sheets in wintertime (although my heater of a husband doesn't always agree with me, LOL!)

*My Amish hickory rocker

*Bright fall leaves

*The feel of my skin after I've washed my face and put toner on it

*Bubble baths, particularly by candlelight

*Homemade bread

*Macintosh Yankee Candle tarts simmering in the tart warmer (or just about any Yankee Candle scent, for that matter)

*The yummy smell of the "cake candles" that are scattered here and there throughout my house

*Having time to sit down and write, whether it be in my journal, or working on a story, or just writing out some random thoughts

*Handmade baskets

*Hugs and kisses from my sweet little Sam

*Soft lighting--lamplight, candlelight

*Uplifting music, especially classical and hymns

*Sitting down for some uninterrupted time with a good book

*The smell of woodsmoke

*Crunchy fall leaves underfoot on a crisp afternoon or evening

Wow, when you start thinking, you can really come up with a lot in a short amount of time! Anyone who wants to, please share your own!!

There is really nothing better than the smell of freshly baked bread. And babies... babies are magic.

I just found your blog by accident.
