It's been a good week. I've been so thankful to be feeling more energetic! I was able to give my bathroom a thorough cleaning this week (all but the tub), and I finally have all the dishes caught up!! Yay!
Sam and I had a nice day. Jim is working on getting his old plow truck ready for winter (which is coming all too soon, I might add), so he was gone all day. Sam and I had a leisurely morning, then around lunchtime we set out for a few hours. First we stopped to visit my grandparents for a few minutes. It had been about a month since they'd seen Sam, so they were happy to see him and hear his latest words. Then we headed up to visit my mom. My dad had plans for the day, too, so Mom ended up going with us to do a little shopping. She treated us to lunch at the new Subway in Walmart, which was fun! They have a "special of the day" where a 6" sub is $2.49 (different kinds each day). Today's was a roast beef sub, which was very yummy! We got 3, in case Sam wanted to eat some of one, but he didn't . . . so Mom and I shared the extra one. Then we shopped for a while, and after we finished up in Walmart, we headed over to The Clothesline, a local consignment store which mostly carries name brand children's clothes. They have a little play area set up inside, which Sam enjoyed very much . . . only he got very upset when we had to leave and I wouldn't let him take the Thomas push toy home! After dropping Mom off at her house, we headed home. Of course Sam had fallen asleep by this time, but he woke up when I got him out of the Suburban. And he didn't go down for his afternoon nap until around 4:45. So . . . it'll be interesting to see what kind of a mood he wakes up in! :) But all in all, it was a very enjoyable day. And I don't even have to cook supper, because we have a bunch of leftover Chili Chicken Lasagna (made with tortillas, not lasagna noodles)! Mmmmm, I love lazy Saturdays. :)
In closing, here are a couple fun shots of Sam for your viewing enjoyment. :)
