The shirt says it all!
We emailed this to our friends and immediate family members over the past week/this weekend, so now it's time to tell everyone else! I am almost 11 weeks along, due around beginning-mid May. It's been very hard to keep it a secret this long!! But now I can talk about it all I want. :)
I have my first "official" checkup with my midwife on this coming Tuesday. I met her for the first time about 2 weeks ago, and I think we will get along well. I'm planning a homebirth this time around, Lord willing. As long as the baby doesn't come any earlier than 37 weeks, and there are no complications. I'm not anticipating any, having had a very easy pregnancy and birth with Sam, and this pregnancy seems about the same so far, maybe even a little better. The major thing I'm going to work on this time is drinking more water (at least 64 oz. a day) and eating a little more nutritiously.
My midwife would like me to keep a pregnancy journal, so I'm thinking of setting up a separate blog just for that purpose. Any opinions from my readers? Would you mind reading pregnancy-related stuff on another blog, or would you prefer that I keep it all together? I can always post anything I write there over here, too . . . I was just thinking that way all the preg. stuff would be kept together so I could print it all out together later if I wanted. Probably some would be less interested in reading the preg. stuff anyway, so maybe keeping it separate would be better. Anyway, please let me know what you all think!
The coolest thing of all is that my little sister and her husband are expecting their first!! I am about 3 weeks ahead of her in my pregnancy. I think it will be so special to share this experience with her, even though we are thousands of miles apart. It will be neat to have little cousins close in age, as well.
Well, I hear my little guy waking up, so I will go for now. Have a happy weekend, everyone!

Congratulations!!!:o)
How wonderful! I, for one, would love to hear (or I should say, read) about your pregancy. I think for future mothers (as in not pregnant yet but someday) like myself this could be very helpful. I don't care if you put it on a different blog or not, but it does seem like it would be easier to keep it all together. It's up to you.
Yay! This is so exciting!:o)
Oh...what does your little guy say? Does he understand yet what being a big brother is?:o)
I think it would be easier for you if you did a separate blog for your pregnancy journal -- as you said, it would be simpler if you wanted to print it out, etc. But certainly it's up to you!
Carrie! That is so wonderful! My most sincere congratulations :)
I'll pray that your pregnancy goes well and that you and your impending arrival are in the best of health. If you post your pregnancy journal publicly I'll be sure to read it :)
Thanks to everyone for your kind comments! :) I've set up a separate pregnancy journal now. Hopefully I can make it fun and interesting to read.
Oh, and Erin--I don't think Sam understands yet what being a big brother is! He likes the shirt though because it has a baby on it, and he loves to say "baby!" Now hopefully we can prepare him to also love the new baby when he/she comes to live with us and share Sam's stuff! :) I have a feeling he will be a good big brother, though.
Woohoo for you and your family! May God bless your womb and the new life it carries!
I like your site. Sam is the cutest thing and probably won't have trouble sharing his stuff!
Congrats, Carrie! Sorry that I'm a little slow... I don't get around to read too many blogs very often.
Thanks for commenting, Christi and Crystal! It was nice to hear from both of you. :)
Congrats!!!!
I'm due in 2 weeks and plan on having a home birth.I've had homebirths with my other two babies and it was wonderful, well for birth:). Eating well is key and getting enough water.I keep a bottle of water so I can keep track of how much to drink.I'm trying to lay off the sugar....but those chocolate cravings are getting the best of me! God bless you.

Danielle, thanks for commenting! I hope all goes well with the last days of your pregnancy and that you have a fast and easy labor and delivery. :) Thanks for the advice about eating well and drinking enough--I'm working on it!
