November Goals

Okay . . . thought I had published this last night, and apparently it didn't work.  So here goes again!

So . . . it's been quite a while since I set monthly goals here!  Well, I may have only missed posting them in October, but still, September seems like it was a LONG time ago now!  And here we are, at the beginning of November, with less than 2 months to go till Christmas.  Crazy!  Anyway, here are my goals for this month:

  • Make daily quiet time & prayer a priority
  • Finish up through week 11 or 12 of school
  • Have a date night (or afternoon) with my man
  • Plan all Christmas gifts and buy as many as possible
  • Do something crafty :)
  • Lose 2+ lbs. and continue with health & fitness challenge
  • Blog more often :)
  • Finish one book and read at least one more
  • Make some special fall/Thanksgiving memories with the kiddos
  • Try a new recipe or two
I'm sure there may be other goals I could add to this list, but right now my brain is fuzzy.  I was hit with a chills/fever bug late last night, and it pretty much wiped me out for today. :(  The kids ended up watching way too many movies while Mommy crashed on the couch for most of the day!  I'm feeling a wee bit better tonight, so hopefully it was/is just a 24 hour thing.  I really don't like being sick!  Not to mention it messed up our school schedule for the week (again!).

One thing I DID accomplish today was to wade through my Google reader list and clean it up a bit.  I left all my "real-life" friends on, of course, but I cut quite a few blogs that I never get around to reading.  I was tired of seeing the list getting longer and longer and longer!  It looks much better now . . . that makes me happy. :)  Another thing I did was to pull out a dishcloth I started crocheting probably . . . um . . . 2-3 years ago!  I have 3 finished dishcloths just waiting to be used, and then there was this partially completed one that for some reason I never got around to finishing.  Embarrassingly enough, it had been so long that I couldn't even remember how to do a half double crochet stitch. :)  Now, I am far from an accomplished crocheter.  In fact, I think I learned how to do maybe 3 stitches, just enough to get through the dishcloth pattern.  Someday, this is a skill I would like to work on more!

Hoping that you are feeling better today. It sounds like you have a great list of things to do this month. You are so crafty I am sure that you will be able to do lots with your crocheting. Salinn knows how to do very basic which is way more than I could do. I really wish I had learned more of those type skills growing up.
I was just telling Josh that I only have a few FAVORITE blogs right now. Some of my old favorites just were not as exciting to me anymore. I always LOVE when you update and LOVE your mom's as well. Sorry for such a LONG comment.
