Well, not OUR family exactly--but our extended family. :) This little guy surprised my sister and family by arriving about 5 weeks early, on Monday morning, while they were on vacation in Utah. The planned birth center birth turned into an unplanned hospital birth . . . but God is good, and baby was born healthy, just with some breathing difficulties due to being early. His name is Micah and he is doing well--and breathing on his own now!-- but still in the NICU for now. Please pray that he would grow stronger and be able to be released soon. Isn't he so precious? I shamelessly borrowed this picture from an email from my sis's father-in-law because I just wanted you all to see that adorable little face. :) I just want to kiss him and snuggle him, but alas . . . I probably won't get the opportunity until at least next summer, when he will be practically grown up! But that's OK . . . I will send virtual snuggles his way. :) Welcome to the world, baby Micah!!

Look who joined the family!

Thanks to everyone who has been praying! We talked with Micah's daddy last night and he said he had one excellent feeding session yesterday morning and then two more which were not quite as encouraging. They have to take it fairly slow as he tires easily.
What a sweetie! I'll be praying for little Micah to get really strong & kiss that NICU goodbye :-)
He is so sweet and sooo tiny.:)We are still praying for the little guy as well.
Quick update -- Micah continues to do well. His dad told us last evening that the doctors are quite amazed at how well he is progressing! He still needs to get stronger and better at consistently nursing before he can leave the hospital. Also, you might pray that the family can find affordable housing for the rest of his stay. Today is the last day of their "vacation" rental. Thanks so much for your prayers!

Hey Joey, I will email you a fuller update, but it sounds like Micah might possibly be released tomorrow. There is still a lot that needs prayer though! Thanks for asking about them. :)
