After waking up rather late on Monday morning following a full day of traveling home, I was thrilled to discover that my Queen Elizabeth roses had waited for me (I was afraid they would bloom while we were away). There were buds on this bush earlier this summer, but either the chickens or chipmunks ate them all. :( Thankfully they have left the bush alone this time, and there are 5 buds. This was the first:
As of today, the same blossom was open this much, and more buds are starting to open.
