Word of the Year

In conclusion to my "goals" posts, I thought it would be neat to pick a word that I would like to define this year. I have seen a lot of other bloggers doing this, and it got me thinking . . . what word would I choose? I considered many, but decided on faithfulness. I would like 2011 to be a year that I grow in faithfulness to God, faithfulness in my homemaking, faithfulness in being a Godly wife and mommy, faithfulness as a friend. I believe that this will also be a year of seeing God's faithfulness to me and my family (as we do every year!).

*Do you have a word in mind that you are using as your theme for this year? Please share!

I have been pondering this very thing! I read about it on another blog & have discussed it with my sister & my husband. I'm still thinking it over a bit (and New Year's is getting to be far past!) but I like your choice very much. I will post about mine when I make up my mind (hopefully it will be before June!) :-)

It had not occurred to me to even think about choosing a word of the year until I read about it here. But what a good idea! I like your choice a lot and it would be one I would choose for myself. I also like "purposefulness" because I think so often we tend to lose sight of God's purpose for each of us -- to bring honor and glory to Him with our lives. "Whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God." (1 Corinthians 10:31) If we truly lived each day of the year with that purpose in mind, how meaningful and life-changing our year might be! Food for thought...
