Crockpot recommendations?

Well, my faithful crockpot cracked itself last week . . . such a sad day! It was cooking away when suddenly I heard a craaaaack . . . thankfully it wasn't bad enough to cause a serious leak, and the meal finished cooking just fine. But I need to replace it! A crockpot isn't something I care to do without for very long! So, I was wondering if any of you guys have recommendations for me? This was my second crockpot. I think it lasted about 5 years, but I've never been totally thrilled with the way it cooked, as it was always burning stuff on one side. The crockpot I had before this one lasted about 6 years, and only died because I killed it (by dropping the crock--oops). Both were Rival brand--the first was a 3.5 quart and the second was a 5 quart (I think). I'm looking at something in the 6-7 quart range now . . . I'm considering this one:

But I'm not sure if I want a round one or not. My first one was round, my second was oval, and I kind of prefer oval for things like whole chicken, crockpot lasagna, and roasts. But I like the price of this one, and the reviews are fairly good. I just thought I would throw out a question and see if any of you have a crockpot (whatever brand) that you really love and seems to be good quality. I just got a new crockpot cookbook for Christmas, and I was only able to try one recipe before my crockpot died. So I really want to replace it, pronto! Thanks in advance for any advice you can give! :)

I don't know what crock pot you are considering (the link doesn't show up for me) but I really love my oval shaped crock pot brand crock pot. I also got a cheapy no-name (I think 2.5 qt) for my wedding 7 years ago and it shows no signs of fading away. I use it for beans - it is the perfect size for a 1-lb bag, and then I have a second one available that is the crock pt brand. I think mine might be a 6 quart? Michael got it for me last Christmas, it has been chugging along faithfully! :-)

Thanks for your input, Jenny! Here is another link (hopefully this one works) to the one I'm looking at: http://www.amazon.com/Crock-Pot-3060-W-6-Quart-Round-Cooker/dp/B0000AR6M2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1293724190&sr=8-1
I like the fact that it's only $25. :) But, there are a few oval ones that are around $30, so I might end up going with one of those. I really like oval!

I have the Crock-Pot Smart-Pot Slow Cooker and love it, the store priced it wrong so I got it for $30
have you heard of freecycle through yahoo, I got a friend a crock pot for free it looked like it was never used it was a round one, I do agree I like the oval better but you can't beat free.

sorry about the cracking crock pot--yikes! i love oval slow cookers! and a few years ago i was given a hamilton beach stay or go slow cooker that is great--there are locking clips and a wonderful rubber seal so no leaks in the car. i know i heard they were about 24 at walmart before christmas--but probably around 30 normally. and i have some friends with divided liners for their crocks, but i don't know which brand has that--but that feature seems like a great option for flexibility!

Erika, that is the one I ended up getting! You're the 2nd person who has recommended it to me. I haven't used it yet, but soon!! I was able to buy the display model from Walmart (they didn't have any more in stock) so I got it for 10% off, which made it a little over $21 (they were still priced at $24). A great deal!
