Icky Sicky

I got walloped with a nasty head cold over the weekend and today I feel sorely lacking in energy of any kind. It's weird because yesterday I didn't feel all that bad; in fact, although we didn't go to church due to the kids and me not feeling well, we all spent some good time outside in the fresh air, and I was sure that by today I'd feel lots better. Well . . . let's just say last night was not restful, and in spite of a 2 hour nap today, I still feel like a zombie. Oh well, this too shall pass! :) I'm thankful for my sweet Jim taking over with the kids, even doing school with Sam, so I could lie low.

In other news, we said goodbye to my sister and family last Thursday. It was beyond wonderful to have them around for 3 weeks!! We got to do lots of fun stuff with them and I thought you might like to see a few (or maybe more than a few) pictures from our time together. I'll keep 'em small so hopefully they won't make the blog too slow to load!

In very random order . . .

playing with Uncle Clay and Daddy (Clay became Sam's new favorite person because he is so much fun to play with!)

reading stories with Grampa

sisters!

baby Elliott

lots of time spent watching movies on Uncle Clay's computer

on a sleigh ride (Darrin, Clay, Sam)

Sam again

some of the gang waiting for the sleigh

having a lunch get-together with friends

all the cousins together (sorry for the wacky lighting and blurriness--it was hard to get them all to sit still at once)

matching cousins (I got these jumpers at the thrift store--aren't they cute?)
And I guess that is all for now. I'm heading back to the couch to watch a movie. :) Hope you are all having a good day!

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about your cold!! It really hit with a vengeance, didn't it? Sure hope the kids don't get hit as hard as you did. I'm praying that you'll feel much better very soon.

The pictures are great. Love that one of Emily & Julia in their matching jumpers!

Great pics! It looks like you had a wonderful time visiting with family.
I hope that by now you are feeling much, much better & that the icky sickies haven't spread around.
This time of year can be so discouraging when it comes to illness & cold days & snow, snow, snow. I keep reminding myself that spring is coming!
