Fireproof

For Valentine's Day, I surprised Jim with a new movie--Fireproof. I had heard lots and lots of great reviews of this movie, the third put out by Sherwood Baptist Church, and since we own the first two (Flywheel and Facing the Giants), and love them, I knew we would want to own this one, too. We were not disappointed! It is excellent. It made us laugh, it made us cry, it made us cheer inside for its strong message of faithfulness in marriage. Seriously, this is just a wonderful movie! It hit on topics that are so relevant to couples today, and we came away challenged, with a fresh desire to really invest in our marriage. Even couples that already have a strong marriage centered on Christ will be encouraged and challenged by Fireproof. If you haven't seen it yet, go rent it, borrow it, or buy it! Oh, and be sure to watch the special features on the DVD too. "Fireproof in 60"--a condensed version of the movie that you can watch in just 60 seconds--is hilarious! Jim and I laughed so hard the first time we watched it. :) Anyway, I'd highly recommend this movie for every married couple!
