Works of God Monday

My friend Jenny recently started a new feature called Works of God Monday on her blog. I was really excited to see this, because it's so important to pause and consider the wonderful things that God has done for us! This is the first chance I've had to participate, but hopefully I'll be able to do so most every week from now on. At Northland (the college I went to), every Monday in chapel Dr. O would set aside time for "works of God" testimonies. It was such a huge blessing and encouragement to listen as students shared the things God had done in their lives, the ways they'd seen Him provide, etc. Thanks, Jenny, for giving us the opportunity to encourage each other in this way online! :)

Here are some ways I've seen God work this past week:

1. He has provided for all of our needs, even though Jim hasn't had much work for the past couple months! It's amazing how those dollars stretch even when we're not sure how they could! And, praise the Lord, Jim has at least a month or more of worked lined up now! :)

2. I've seen the power of prayer very specifically this week, and God at work in others' lives, as well as my own!

3. This may seem like a small thing, but I've been thrilled that my kiddos have all taken naps at the same time, several days this week! Thank you, Lord, for some quiet, restful time for this busy mommy!
