Lately most of my online time has been nursing time . . . and you know, it's kind of hard to blog with one hand. :) I have SO many things on my mind to blog about, but finding the time to do so is a little more challenging, especially when there are other things like housework and laundry calling my name. I'm hoping to catch up with a few posts over this weekend; we'll see how it goes.
We had a lovely time with Jim's parents! They were here for a week and we kept them BUSY! We enjoyed taking them to some of our favorite places in NH and also in Maine. I'll be doing at least one or two posts with some pictures of the places we went . . . stay tuned for that! :)
The last few days have been spent running errands, doing a little grocery shopping, trying to catch up on some housecleaning, etc. On Friday Sam begged to go to work with Jim, which Jim graciously allowed him to do . . . so I had a little more time to get things done. Well, I had the same amount of time, actually, but less of it was spent breaking up arguments between brother and sister. Wait a minute, would my kids ever argue? Ummmm, yes. But we're working on it. :) Anyway, on Friday Julia was my little helper and Josiah spent the day agreeably sleeping or nursing, and not hollering, which is always nice.
Yesterday we headed down to southern NH to get a couch that was being handed down to us from some friends. We stopped to do a little shopping on the way home, and I ended up with a few more summer clothes for Julia (yay for Carter's and Kohl's sales!) and a 4th of July onesie for Josiah that I'd been eying for a while. When we got home, we cleaned up the new couch (our friends have cats, so while the couch wasn't "dirty," it was a little bit hairy), and brought it in the house. It looks really nice and is so comfy!
Today was church this morning, and now a relaxing afternoon with naps for all the kiddos. Jim and I contemplated napping too, but instead spent some time outside talking, working in the flower garden a tiny bit, and now I'm blogging while he makes pizza for supper. We'll be heading back to church before too long, which means I need to wake up Josiah and nurse him soon. But first, I'm hoping to get a post up about Josiah, as he is now one month old, and I want to record his monthly milestones!
And before I do that, I also wanted to say a quick "Happy Birthday" to my brother-in-law Clay!! And happy Memorial Day to the rest of you!
