A new favorite movie
We got "Miss Potter" from Netflix this weekend (thanks to some of our family members for the gift subscription!) and loved it. It's the story of Beatrix Potter and it's an enchanting tale from start to finish. Although it is a tear-jerker, too . . . and I won't say more than that, since I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it. :) Anyway, it is on my wish list at Amazon, because this is one movie that I really want to own. Even Jim liked it a lot, which is remarkable since it's something of a "chick flick." And the scenery . . . we both fell in love with the Lake District of England as portrayed in this movie! "Miss Potter" was beautifully filmed and acted and I highly recommend it!
Oh, and one little thing that made me laugh--Ewan McGregor sported quite a large mustache through the entire movie, but on the DVD case the mustache is nowhere to be seen! A small blooper, I guess . . . either that or they thought that a clean-shaven Ewan would sell more DVDs than a mustached one. :)

Carrie, this is also one of my sister's favorite movies. I have yet to see it, but my mom bought it this last weekend so I'm going to be watching it soon! That little note about the moustache cracks me up! I think it definitely had to do with him being more handsome without it ;-)
We saw this (via Netflx) last week too! :)
Loved this movie, not a bad thing in it(rare these days). Nathan said it's not a "chick flick" because it was actually good. I look at her books, which I love, differently now.
Oh, and the moustache thing cracks me up. I think your suspicions are correct. ;)
My daughter and I saw this movie a couple of weeks ago for the first time (checked it out of the library) and fell in love with it! I want to own it too.
I thought it was kind of odd that he had no moustache on the cover!
Mary Ann, I think you will really enjoy it! It's a very sweet movie.
And yes, ladies, Ewan McG. does look better without the moustache :) . . . but I have to say that it really suited his character in the movie! Thanks for the comments!
