Flowers around our yard

Yesterday I took a few pictures of some of our flowers. Our yard is mostly rocks, weeds, grass, and blackberry bushes, but we do have touches of color here and there. :) This spring, I scattered a few boxes of wildflower seeds around the yard. Most of them didn't amount to much, but I've discovered a few that came up. We also have a lot of thimbleberry bushes, which have pretty pink flowers. And, to my joy, two of my cheapo Walmart rose bushes are blooming! And the rose bush Jim gave me for Mother's Day is loaded with blooms again! I was also excited to find that the pale corydalis I transplanted last summer is still alive, and even thriving! It's a wildflower that grows in waste places or where there has been a fire. I supposed it originally sprung up near one of the spots where we burned brush. It needs fire to survive, so we will try putting ashes in the soil around it, to hopefully keep it coming back every year. I think it is so pretty.

Next year, hopefully we can have even more flowers.
