Today I have that song "Count Your Blessings Instead of Sheep" going through my head--you know, the one Bing Crosby sang in "White Christmas." I have SO much to be thankful for. I don't take time often enough to stop and count my blessings. Here are some things that have blessed me recently:
*Beautiful temps in the high 50s, gentle breezes, blue skies and sunshine!
*Watching Jim working outside and driving the tractor around, with Sam working right alongside him
*Feeling energetic and having a baking spree--granola, hamburger buns, and cookies, so far!
*Getting a $10 off coupon in the mail a few days ago, for the very restaurant that I had told Jim I would like to go to for my birthday
*Starting a new book that my mom lent me yesterday--looks like it's going to be good!
*My new kitchen cabinets, which make my countertops look so much neater
*A long phone call with my sis a few days ago
God is so good to us!!
We have a busy weekend ahead. Tomorrow is the annual Leadership Conference at our church, and I am really excited about that. We didn't go last year, as I was 8 mos. pregnant with Julia and getting to the uncomfortable stage. The speakers and music (SMS Men's Quartet) for this year are going to be great, and I'm so glad we'll be able to go. An added benefit is that on Sunday, we get to enjoy some of the same speakers and another concert. So I know it's going to be a wonderful and encouraging weekend! I'm sure we'll be tired by the end of Sunday night, though!
I just realized today that March marks the 2 year anniversary of when I started my blog. Unbelievable! So, happy blog-a-versary to me! :)
I hope you all have a lovely weekend, wherever you may be. And feel free to comment and share some of your own blessings, if you'd like!

Love the sunshiney-photos of your little ones! Julia's turning out to be quite the happy girl, isn't she? Thanks for getting that old favorite song into my noggin too. Maybe I'll fall asleep counting my blessings tonight! :)
Hope your heart was encouraged by the conference this weekend. Make sure you get a few naps in this week to recover! Can't wait to see your hamburger bun recipe. Did you use wheat?
Hey Alicia! We had a really good time at the conference--I'll try to blog about it more later. Your bro-in-law was the main speaker; we always enjoy him. We also got to hear from Rand Hummel, who was great as well.
The bun recipe is linked in the post--just scroll where they're mentioned and it should highlight it. I cut the recipe down a lot and used half whole wheat and half white, and they came out super! I think I cut the recipe down to make 15 buns (and it actually only made 6 because I made them really big). I guess it depends what size you like your hamburgers, how big you make them. :) Anyway, I will definitely be making them again and again!!
