Christmas Countdown Challenge--Day 26

Today wasn't a very profitable day as far as the challenge goes, but I was able to do a bit on one of my handmade presents (this one's almost finished!) and also hung all 3 of my Christmas wreaths. (One for the back door, and one for either side of the French doors.) I feel like the two by the French doors need some extra embellishment, though. We'll see what I can come up with. I'll try to post some pics of them eventually.

I also spent some time looking through a couple of the Gooseberry Patch Christmas books my mom has given me the past few years. They are a treasure trove of ideas, and I hope to actually start my Christmas planning early enough next year, to use some of them! I enjoy making homemade gifts and treats, but I just don't have as much time for it at this stage of my life as I would like. As the kids get a little older, hopefully it will get a little easier. :)

Sorry I haven't been keeping up with comments this week--I do appreciate hearing from each of you, though. I'm happy a few of you have been able to join me in the Christmas challenge, and I hope we can all feel a little more organized with our plans this year because of it.

Not a very accomplishing day for me, but I did get a bit of work done on a few gifts. I also scanned a bunch of my vintage Christmas cards to use as graphics on my blog. And, of course, listened to Christmas music and sipped some Candy Cane Lane Tea! Oh, and I'm wearing a Christmas sweatshirt. Surely that counts...

We have been listening to Christmas music daily since the day after Thanksgiving. I am going to be sick of "The Chipmunks" VERY soon (the kids love it!). I much prefer Bing. ;) I haven't had a chance to get the Christmas decorations out yet, but I hope to tomorrow. I love this season! :)

We got the boys their Hess trucks today. They are so cool! I think they'll like them. And I can't say enough about their durability. The boys still play with theirs from last year. Hey, they survived a year of pickleness. LOL.

What are you making for gifts? I was thinking of doing some homemade things this year, but I need to get organized and decide just what. Day 26...eeek!

Mom, I love the vintage graphics that you scanned!

Mindee, I laughed about the Chipmunks--I haven't heard that album in years, but maybe I should get it for the kids . . . or maybe not. :) I am a huge Bing fan; he's probably my absolute fave for Christmas.

I'm sure the boys will love the trucks! LOL about the year of pickleness. :D

I can't share here what I'm making for gifts because some of the recipients may be reading!! But I'll email you and fill you in. :)
