While none of us are quite ready for summer to end and school to start . . . we were still quite excited to see the FedEx van coming up the driveway to deliver THIS:
It is always an exciting day when the big Sonlight box arrives! Everyone joined in to unpack our new books:

Josiah was super excited about his math books . . . he is so eager to start school!!

Now I need to figure out where to put them all!
Sam's favorite part may have been his very own set of geometry tools. We'll see if he still thinks they are cool when we get to use them for math. :) (Actually, from our experience last year, I'd say that geometry is probably going to be one of his strong points!)
Now I just have a few more things to order from CBD and I think we will be ready to start our school year (which will probably happen right after Labor Day). We will be starting American history this year and I am so looking forward to that!! I hope to do a more detailed post soon with our school plan for this year . . . it's going to be different with another kid in the mix, but I think it'll be a lot of fun. :)

They all look so excited! I've been looking at our 'stuff' this week too, and getting geared up for a new school year. I'm getting excited to begin our year with Heart of Dakota. Seems to look fun and interesting!!!! :-) Hopefully we all stay this excited right?!!! :-)

There's Christmas, there's birthdays, but also that indescribable day when the new curriculum arrives! I like how Luke put it - "Happy Box Day!" And I felt like I got to share that special occasion with all of you through your post! What fun! Take care, dear friend!
Looks like fun. We are excited about a new school year too. Although I have yet to get my act together and put everything in place.:) It is always fun beginning!!!
The kids all look like they are having lots of fun :). New school books always make the new year more exciting! We still have a week and 4 days till we start but the kids are getting excited ... I am too:). Hope you are enjoying the last few days of summer. Have great Labor Day weekend. Looking forward to seeing your first day of school pictures.
