A post a day--Dec. 3: Weekly Goals

Well, last week was not a great one for accomplishing goals!  Hopefully this week will be better.  We are still (or maybe I should say "again") fighting colds around here, so we'll see how things go and how much energy we have!

Here's how last week went:


  • Complete week 1 of Advent study--Almost done, just missed one day.
  • Complete week 7 of fitness challenge--DONE!
  • Drink 3 bottles of water, 5-6 days--Didn't quite make this one, I think I got 4 days.
  • Post 3 book reviews--DONE!
  • Complete week 11 of school--DONE!
  • Order several Christmas gifts--DONE!
  • Finish crocheting dishcloth--Didn't finish, but I did make some progress :)
  • Read Celebrating & Savoring a Simple Christmas ebook--Nope, only read the first few chapters
  • Begin making hemlock cone wreath--Nope, haven't started yet :(
  • Start decorating for Christmas--DONE!  The tree is up, as is the manger scene and a few other things. :)

And here are my goals for this week:


  • Complete week 2 of Advent Bible study
  • Complete week 12 of school
  • Complete week 8 (final week!) of fitness challenge
  • Drink 3 bottles of water, 5-6 days
  • Completely clear kitchen counters to get ready for lots of baking!
  • Record message on new answering machine
  • Make list and shop for Christmas baking supplies
  • Finalize Christmas gifts for everyone on our list and order as many gifts as possible
  • Type and print Christmas letter (first I have to decide if I'm doing one this year) and mail cards
  • Finish Christmas decorating
  • Bake and freeze one or two kinds of cookies
  • Listen to Oliver Twist CDs to review
