Yesterday was a bright sunny day and a perfect chance to get a few pictures outside with my precious kiddos. :) These are two of my favorites!
Too bad Julia had her hand in front of her face . . . oh well. :) You know how tricky it is to get a good picture with 3 wiggly children?!
Hubby spoiled me by cooking breakfast, and he and the kids gave me a beautiful card and some money. Each of the moms at church was given a flower and a little johnny-jump-up plant (I love those!), and we heard an encouraging message geared toward mothers. The kids and I wrapped up the day with a movie while Jim called his mom. It was a really good day. :)
I'm so thankful for my dear mom, my mother-in-law, and both of my grandmothers (one now in Heaven), as well as the many other Godly ladies in my life who have made an impact on me over the years. I'm reminded that each of our lives touches other lives, and we each have the opportunity to invest not only in our own families (which are obviously the most important :)), but also in the lives of other ladies, girls, and children.
I hope all of you moms had a very special Mother's Day, too! And for those who may not be mothers yet, have lost babies, or may have lost your own mothers--I know this day can be a difficult one. I hope God gave you extra grace and some special blessings for the day.
