All downhill from here . . .

Well at least I hope so. :) I am thrilled to report that I'm now 2/3 of the way to my goal weight! I've lost 20 lbs. in the past year (yes, it's taking me a while!) and have only 10 more lbs. to go to reach my pre-any-kids weight. Do you know how GOOD that feels? Well, I'm sure some of you do. :) I have lost about 10 of those pounds since April. My sis-in-law and I have been checking in with one another every week, and the accountability has been very helpful for me. I also started doing Leslie Sansone's 5 Day Slim Down DVD at the end of June, and have definitely seen some good results from that. I like that it has 5 different workouts, so I can do a different one each day if I want to.

I'm not really sure how long it'll take me to reach my goal weight, but I'm going to set a loose goal of getting there by Christmas. Obviously, I'd like to get there sooner . . . but from past experience I know that it usually takes me at least 3-4 months to lose 10 lbs.

Anyway. Just wanted to share that with you guys! Are any of you working toward specific goals (weight loss or otherwise)?

Good for you, Carrie! Keep up the good work! I don't have a specific goal weight in mind... just keep trying to eat right, stay active, drink enough water, and see what happens! I've taken off a lot of weight via that method the past few years and it's what works for me.

Good job, Carrie! I always have a goal weight in mind...it just seems to be taking a lifetime to get there :-) I've definitely let some of my discipline go since the wedding. But the goals are still there - life just has an ebb & flow. My number one goal is to try & remember that my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit & I need to tend it properly (balancing nutrition, exercise, rest, etc.). Keeping that mindset really motivates me to do what is right. Striving to Look good & feel good can sometimes give me the wrong focus & I start to obsess. I'm glad you found someone to be accountable to; that always helps!

That's great, Carrie! I lost my baby weight quickly but have since added some "stay at home" weight. I need to lay off the home-baked goods for a little while and take more walks! It wouldn't bother me except that I want my clothes to keep fitting :)
