Snow on the Mountain

Jim took these pictures of Mt. Washington on the way home from Story Land on Saturday. It was really cool to see snow falling on top of the mountain, while the weather was actually quite nice in the valley. The contrast between the beautiful foliage on the lower parts of the mountain and the snow on top was also neat. Mt. Washington is impressive and beautiful in all seasons!

Is that the Balsam Hotel? It looks like it but I'm not for sure. My husband and I have been skiing there. What a beautiful place:).

Nope, this is actually the Mt. washington Hotel. The Balsams is further north, in Dixville Notch. Some of my friends' from college (sisters) dad works at the Balsams and one of the girls got married there a few years back. We went to the wedding and it was a gorgeous event, as you can imagine! The same friends took us skiing there also, back in our college days. It was my sister's and my first time downhill skiing and we were TERRIBLE at it! Actually it was my only time downhill skiing. :) I decided after that, that I'm more of a cross-country gal. ;)
