You guys are awesome! Thanks for all the great input and ideas about weight loss/maintenance. I really enjoyed reading each comment and found a lot of helpful tips. I am happy to report that I've lost one pound this week. :) Hooray hooray!!
I am still working on figuring out what works best for me. I've managed to mostly stay away from sweets and drink lots of water and iced green tea (although I did add a little sugar to that--I have a hard time drinking unsweetened tea). I did have seconds a couple times after supper because I really still felt hungry, and as Rachel mentioned, it makes sense to eat when you are hungry! I am working on eating healthier snacks and smaller portions. The exercise part is harder for me to motivate myself to do, so if you think of it, I could use prayer in that area! I was really excited to see the number on the scale go down, even if it was just a pound. If I could lose one pound a week, I would be happy. :) I am also trying to come up with a way to challenge myself and think of a kind of reward/incentive for when I reach my goal weight. Or even maybe some kind of little reward for every 10 lbs. Any ideas? (A non-food reward, that is. :))

If it makes you feel any better, I'm in exactly the same boat with exercise motivation! Matt is going to move our stationary bike to the living room to help me use it more - hope that helps!
As a reward I suggest a new dress or top. Nothing makes me feel good about how I look more than something new and stylish!
I'll be praying for you. It's hard to exercise but often, you end up feeling so much better when you're through.
Depending on your interests - a new piece of kitchen equipment/accessory, a spa treatment, manicure/pedicure, new healthy cookbook, new clothes etc.
Keep at it!
