Works of God Monday

My Works of God testimony this week is another one of those “little things” that was actually a big thing to us! Remember our new car that I posted about last week? Well, last Saturday we discovered that one of the two sets of car keys was missing! I had been using the second set of keys all week, thinking that Jim had the other set. We searched high and low; neither of us could remember doing anything with those keys, and we finally guessed that one of the kids must have found them and hidden them somewhere, or thrown them in the trash, or something. It was very frustrating because these are the type of keys that have to be programmed, and it could be costly to replace them. Also, the lost set of keys had a remote starter on the same ring--another expensive item!

Anyway, after looking for those keys for 3 days, on Tuesday I happened to put on my bathrobe one evening after a shower. I noticed that one of the pockets felt heavy and something jingled . . . I put my hand in and unbelievingly pulled out the lost keys!!! I still don’t remember putting them there, but I’m guessing I had my robe on one morning when I ran outside to get something out of the car, and must have stuck the keys in the pocket and forgotten all about them. Can I chalk it up to “mommy brain?” :)

I’m so thankful that God cares even about a simple thing like car keys, and that He allowed us to find them before we spent money on a new set. And now, Jim is the official keeper of that particular set of keys. :)

How has God blessed you this week? Feel free to share! And check out Jenny's blog to see other Works of God testimonies!

I did something similar once- for the first time in my adult life, lost my keys. Fortunately I had a second set, complete with all of my membership tags, because I'm that kind of person, but I has horror visions for awhile of someone stealing my car from the driveway. Cue me months later, dumping out our coin jar to cash it in for gas money on our move here- there were the keys. I totally chalk that up to Work o' God, too.

Today I washed and dryed a load of laundry only to redump (thinking it was the next load that needed to go in) it back in the washer and had to rinse and dry them again...mommy/prego brain.
I love your new header pic!

I used to have an Explorer Sport with keyless entry & I would lock my keys in all the time just so I wouldn't lose them. Then when I first traded that vehicle I was super nervous that I would lock my keys in my car. I usually don't lose the keys in the house; I lock them in the car. Can't tell you how many times...kinda embarrassing ;-)
