Today is Sam's 4th birthday!! Jim was home all day and we celebrated with muffins for breakfast, Subway for lunch, and homemade calzone for supper, with chocolate cake and ice cream for dessert. The kids had lots of fun playtime with Daddy, both inside and out. We'll be having another party with our extended family next week, but we had a very nice family time today.
I thought it would be fun to take a look back at Sam on each of his birthdays.
Here he is on his original birth day! I think this was the first picture we took of him. He was such a cute little guy . . . born 3 weeks early, and weighing 5 lbs. 14 oz.
The next two are from his first birthday. He wasn't into the cake too much, that year.
"Somebody please wash this stuff off my hands!"
This one was from his second birthday. His sweet tooth was fully developed at this point and he was VERY much into the cake and ice cream. :)
This one was taken soon after his second birthday--couldn't resist posting it again because it's so cute!
Here he is last year, on his third birthday . . .
. . . and here he is today, with one of his presents!
This afternoon, he and Daddy had so much fun playing in the snow tunnel!
Blowing out the candles on his cake! I'll make a more interesting one for his other party, but he was perfectly happy with this simple chocolate one. :)
Happy birthday to our big boy! We love you!! And I also want to say a great big happy birthday to our niece, Sarah--she turned 7 today! We love you, too!

Happy birthday, Sam! Those pictures are so cute. It's hard to believe he's 4 already!
Isn't it fun to go back over the pictures and see how much the kids have changed over the years? I love to do that with all of ours, but especially the oldest two - who have changed the most.
Sounds like you all had a lovely day.
Happy Birthday to Sam! I'm so glad you posted all those pics b/c now I know what he looked like along the way ;-) He's a real cutie & he looks like a fun kid.
They grow so quickly!! Happy Birthday to your little guy!
Happy Birthday to your big guy! Are you asking yourself where the time went? I'll bet that you are so thankful to be home full-time with your children:). It's a blessing and a privilege to stay home with our little people. Lots of work but so worth it:).
BTW - I made your baguette recipe again today. I made 12 little ones instead of 4 big ones. They made awesome meatball subs! Tomorrow, I plan to use some of them for garlic bread - yummy! Also, I checked out one of your links, www.tammysrecipes.com and the three recipes that I've made from her site are so delicious. Her site is now one of my favorites - I love all of her pictures!
Awwww. He is so cute. They grow up so fast.
