Sewing inspiration

I came across this blog, Frills, Frocks and Fancies, through the Pleasant View Schoolhouse blog yesterday, and wow . . . this lady is talented!! While some of the designs aren't my personal taste, I was so impressed with the quality of her workmanship, and I particularly love the "Frills a Flappin' Aprons" and the "Mary Beth Apron Dress." I may just have to save up for one of her apron kits.

If you have a slow connection like I do, it will take a long time to load the pictures, but I promise you will be inspired. :)

I thought the mary Beth Apron dress was really pretty too. And I also liked the Flower Picking Pinny.
Yes, the site is inspiring. I think I need to work on making myself some more aprons. With all the skirts I have that I can wear now, I really want to keep them nice so I shall be busy for a while!
I may also try dying an old cream top that is a little stained with tea to see what happens. It really needs something and seeing how it was done to such good effect with the aprons has made me really want to try it. I did consider tossing it in the wash with a new red blanket that we had, but I wasn't too sure about turning my only (at that time) neutral colored top into a pink one.
The dish rags (from your post the other day) look really nice. Crocheting is far easier and much, much quicker than knitting. That yarn is really nice to work with too.
