I'm tired! I spent the morning cleaning and organizing in the kids' room. I sorted through toys and put away a bunch that the kiddos rarely play with, freeing up some more space in the toy basket. I also put away a lot of stray Legos and marbles, vacuumed, dusted, and straightened up the dressers and bookshelves. So even though I'm tired, I feel so good to have that done! Now, if only the rest of the house looked as orderly . . . :) One room at a time, I guess.
I am trying to come up with ideas for built-in bookshelves and other storage solutions for the kids' room. I think Jim and I will have to brainstorm together soon. I dream of getting their room finished (as in paint, flooring, and trim!) sometime this spring/summer. Actually, before the baby comes would be wonderful . . . but I don't know if we'll have time and money to do it all by then. But, we do need to come up with more storage. The older they get, the more toys and books they accumulate, and the less space we have to keep it all.
Tomorrow Jim has to make a trip to Home Depot for materials, and I hope to take advantage of Old Navy's big weekend sale while we're in the neighborhood. I hear they mark some of the kids' clothes way down, so I'd like to see if I can stock up on anything for next winter. Then I'd better spend the rest of the day cleaning the house and getting ready for Sunday. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

You're making me tired just reading about all the chores you did! slow down, pregnant one!
I hear ya on the storage issue. We always said we'd not let Chloe have many toys but somehow we've accumulated quite a bit. Since we don't have one designated playroom every room seems to have toys in it somewhere. Ah for the days to have a grown-up looking house!
If you are trying to watch the pennies some paint store offer low prices on mistints. Sometimes they are able to match the color you want.
