We've been in Ohio with Jim's family since Friday, and we're having a great time catching up with everyone. Sam and Julia have loved reconnecting with their cousins (as well as meeting the newest baby girl cousin!) and the kids are all playing well together. Unfortunately Julia came down with some kind of little tummy bug, and we're hoping it won't go through all the kids! But other than that, we've had a fun time. We had our Christmas celebration on Saturday night, then on Monday we visited Jim's grandparents and had another Christmas with them. Yesterday, my mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and I went shopping (along with Ruth, our baby niece), and that was a lot of fun, as always. We've sort of made it into a yearly tradition and it is nice to have a girls' day out. :)
We've had a lot of late nights, watching movies and playing Settlers of Catan, and consequently we sleep in every morning, as late as the kiddos will let us. :)
We plan to head home on Saturday or Sunday, and then we will kick into high gear to finish up preparations for our Christmas in NH! I still have a few presents to buy and wrap, plus Christmas dinner to plan, and I'd also like to make a special Christmas breakfast. I will be pretty busy on Monday! I hope you all are having a wonderful week as you prepare for your own Christmas celebrations!

Sounds like a wonderful pre-Christmas celebration! What a blessing that you get to celebrate with both sides of the family during the holidays. WHere in Ohio are you?
