Sam has said two funny things over the past couple days, that I just wanted to share. I love how he is getting to the age of saying things in cute ways! The first one was yesterday. We were working on getting him to finish his bowl of soup. Jim told him, "Tip the bowl up on edge so you can get more soup in the spoon." Sam looked at us both very seriously, and I think with a little puzzlement, and said, "I don't want to put the bowl on my head!" We both roared with laughter--it just cracked us up that he thought Jim said "head" instead of "edge." :D
The other one happened today. I was reading Proverbs 3:5-6 to him several times, with the goal of helping him memorize the verses. I was trying to see if he would fill in some words if I left a "blank" for him when I was talking, so I paused after "Proverbs 3" to see if he would say "5 and 6." Without missing a beat, he filled in his own words: "hundred dollars!" You just never know how those little minds are working, or what their little mouths are going to come out with! :)
