Mindee--it was a Taste of Home recipe called Stars and Stripes Torte. It was super easy (used a cake mix, pudding mix, and pie fillings as several of the ingredients.) I'll try and link to it on the blog in case anyone wants it.
I thought the pics of Sam with the croquet mallet were cute too. :) He had a lot of fun!
Thanks for noting that, Mrs. T! I would also mention that I used french vanilla pudding rather than the white chocolate that's called for in the recipe because I couldn't find any white chocolate except sugar-free, which I prefer not to use. I also used a golden butter cake mix rather than a white one.
