Okay, I am taking a leaf out of a lot of other bloggers' books, and calling out to any "lurkers" who frequent my blog. :) I would love to hear from you! I recently topped 10,000 hits on my blog, which is amazing to me. So I know there are more of you readers out there than just the ones who usually comment. Every other time I've tried this, I haven't gotten much response, but I thought I would try again. :) So . . . stop by and introduce yourselves; I would love to "meet" you!
While I'm on the topic of comments, I would also like to hear any ideas or suggestions for how to make my blog better or more interesting. As I'm sure most of you can tell, I mostly use it to talk about my life and my family. However, I visit some blogs that are geared toward encouraging other ladies in the area of homemaking, etc. and I would like to include some of those types of posts on my blog, as well. One thing I really enjoyed doing on my pregnancy blog was a "question of the week" related to pregnancy. I got a lot of interaction that way, and I miss doing those questions! I would love to start that up on this blog, just on a variety of topics. Does anyone have any ideas for that?
I'm also hoping to write some posts soon about some topics that have been simmering away in my brain, such as my favorite books/authors (I'm hoping to spotlight one every week), favorite recipes and household tips, and the saga of our house building adventure. Erin had asked me ages ago if I could share more about that, and I haven't forgotten--just haven't had time to organize my thoughts and write them down!
I love blogging and wish I had more time for it, but of course my home and family comes first. :) And because I love to write, I think I would blog whether or not I ever got any comments! But I do love hearing from others, as well. It is so much fun to connect in this way with other like-minded ladies. So . . . please pop in and say hi, and share your ideas with me! Thanks!!!

you could start by spelling building with a "d"
LOL, thanks anonymous! :D I fixed it. I hate it when I have typos, but a lot of times I run out of time to proofread!
I thought of a few ideas for "questions of the week". Things like what people have on their menus for the week, what they're having for supper that night, their favorite cleaning products, favorite kids' toys, preferred homeschooling curriculum, helpful hints (for the kitchen or elsewhere), favorite book of the Bible or favorite Bible verse -- and why, favorite hymn -- and why, favorite season, helpful ideas for childraising at different stages -- potty training, terrible 2's, teens, etc. Well, those are just a few thoughts that popped into my head immediately.
I'm not a lurker since I don't stop by that often, but I have you blogrolled under my "NH Bloggers" section.
You have a nice little blog, but family blogs are very common. If you are looking for more readers (and not all bloggers are) the idea of adding a Q&A feature to your blog will distinguish it from other blogs.
Mrs. T--thanks for your ideas!
Zan--I think I will post a question of the week on potty training for next week, and see if we get some good advice. :)
TJ--thanks for adding me to your blogroll and for your comments on my blog. I guess I'm not necessarily looking for more readers, but mostly more comments. :) I appreciate your input!
Carrie,
I don't consider myself a lurker because I do occasionally comment, but I also do check in almost every day to see what you have to say and see the great pictures of your kiddies. After all, as your campus sister, they are technically my campus nephew and niece. :)
I'm a friend of Christen Hallis, down here in SA, and linked to your blog from her site. Just thought I'd say a quick "hi"!
Sandra-- "campus nephew and niece"--I like that! :) I wonder how all our old campus siblings are doing, as well as Dad and Mom J. We sure had some great times at those campus family nights--playing Guesstures, etc. Some of our siblings were so hilarious--thinking of Jared and Jeremy in particular . . .
I'm glad you're a regular reader; it has been so nice to get back in touch with you. I also check out your blog nearly every day; just haven't had much commenting time lately. I'm glad to hear how God has led as far as your housing dilemma, though!
Alece--it's nice to meet you! Christen and I went to high school together and she is the only one from my class whom I have actually kept in touch with. :)
I checked out your blog, and it was so neat to read about your ministry. I also loved seeing the pics of where you live--it's gorgeous! Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. :)
Thanks for the note back (Christen just told me!). I'm gonna see Christen on Tuesday, in fact, as we meet up in Joburg. Hope all is well with you!
Hi again, Alece! Hope you have a nice time with Christen!! :)
