A Little Lighter . . . :)

Since that last post took me over 4 hours to write (not really, but I started it around 4-something PM and then we went out to Walmart and stuff later, so I never finished writing it till after supper), I wanted to relax my brain by posting another short one. :)

We had a lazy day. Sam and I both have bad colds, so we took it easy. My mom and I had planned to do another yard sale, but with all the rain today, we cancelled. Maybe we'll try it on Monday instead. Jim and I finished watching "The Two Towers" this morning, then later I watched "The African Queen," with Humphrey Bogart (isn't that the coolest/funniest name?) and Katharine Hepburn. I'd seen it before, but it had been a while. As I said, we went to Walmart later and got a DiGiorno's pizza for supper. Cheese-stuffed crust! Yum Yum. Now Jim is giving Sam his bath, and then we'll be getting ready to go to bed.

I also wanted to add another recommendation, this time for a video or DVD collection, called "All Creatures Great and Small." This was a BBC TV show back in the 1980s, I believe, based on the books of James Herriot. (For any who aren't familiar with him, he was a small-town vet in England, back in the 1930s, 40s, etc. The books are very good, and the show really brings them to life! Christopher Timothy is excellent as James, and Robert Hardy is superb as Siegfried. He is hilarious! All the actors do a good job, in fact. I hear there are 5 seasons, and that the first 3 are the best, but as our library only has one set, that's all we've seen. They are fun to watch over and over again, though. Very good family shows. If we can ever afford it, maybe someday we'll own all the seasons on DVD. You can find them on Amazon if anyone feels like checking them out. These do have the occasional swear word, but they are few and far between, at least on the ones we've seen. There is actually less bad language than there is in the books. Highly recommended!!

Well, I hope everyone is having a very happy weekend. I think I'm finally done jabbering for a while . . . :)
