Six years ago today . . .

. . . I married my precious husband.

It's hard to believe that much time has passed already. It really doesn't seem like we are now in our late twenties; I don't FEEL any older than I did 6 years ago! But hopefully I have grown up a little since that day, hopefully become a little less selfish and a little more giving. It has been quite an adventure so far; it will be interesting to see where the years ahead will take us! Every day, my sweetie becomes a little more dear to me. I am so glad the Lord picked us out for each other. There is no one else who would balance me so perfectly, put up with me so patiently, or make my life as bright and fun as Jim does. Every day of my life, I hope I can be a blessing to him and make his life full and wonderful, as he does mine. I am so blessed!

Here's my favorite photo from our wedding day. Unfortunately I don't have it scanned onto this computer, so I just took a picture of it with our digital camera . . . so it's not very close up, but I wanted to share it anyway. :) This was not posed; just one of those candid shots that turned out to be the best of the bunch!

Congratulations on your anniversary!!!:o) Do you still feel like newlyweds? I've heard that once the children start coming along, that pretty much wears off...but that a good marriage just gets better. Sounds like yours has, and that's wonderful! Your anniversary is very close to mine...will be two years on August 16th.

Also, thank you for posting the blueberry pie recipe...I hope I get the chance to try it very soon!

Thanks, Erin! Congrats on your upcoming anniversary, as well! :)

Well, sometimes we still feel like newlyweds, and other times not so much, LOL! :) It's true that children do change things, but it's also true that our marriage is just getting better and better. Sometimes I just wish for more alone time with my hubby, but at the same time, I wouldn't trade Sam for anything, now that we have him! He is so much fun, even though sometimes he does drive me bonkers! :D

I hope you will enjoy the pie once you get to make it. We thought it was very yummy!
